Message to All August 8th, 2002
What is a Palestinian?
Justifications for my definition: Israeli occupation successive governments have the following deeds concerning Palestinians and international laws (from a message by Al-Awda of "Pari Ratione" <ratione@rome.com>). They hold
3.5 million Christian and Muslim palestinians hostages (in West
Bank and Gaza) in their own homes denying them the right to travel,
to work, to celebrate their marriages, to go to schools or clinics
or even for a picnic to the sea. Fenced 1 million
palestinians in a prison called Gaza (70% of them are refugees),
where the highest population density on earth and the highest
rate of poverty in the Middle East, and 2.5 million palestinians
in a prison called Palestinian autonomous cities of the West Bank.
Caused the
largest unresolved refugee problem in the world and still refusing
to accept International law and basic human rights of allowing
the refugees to return to their homes and lands. Violated over
70 United Nations security council resolutions and countless general
assembly resolutions with impunity. Practiced
and still practicing large scale extrajudicial executions which
are considered normal practice. Practiced and still practicing
torture codified and approved by its parliament. Israeli security
forces are allowed to act as judge, jury, and executioner and
without any legal review. Transplanted
large pieces of Israeli population into areas Israel occupied
in war in defiance of the 4th Geneva Convention. Jewish settlements/colonies
in the areas occupied in 1967 now house 400,000 settlers/colonists
on land belonging to the native Palestinian people. Demolished
over 450 native towns and villages and still systematically demolishing
homes (thousands so far) and agricultural areas and confiscating
lands to transfer to Jews. Confiscated
and still confiscating large tracks of Palestinians properties
for security and "green area" use for short periods
of time and then turn them over for Jewish settlements and developments.
Build roads
and towns for members Jews and prevent natives who are not members
of that religion from using such infrastructure (Jewish only bypass
roads and settlements that dot the occupied areas). Israel is
the only country in the world in which 1/4th of the non-Jews are
considered "present absentees" (non-Jewish citizens
who are denied the right to their own lands which is confiscated
as "absentee" property by law and turned to the Jewish
National Fund for administration and lease to Jews) Besides this,
Israel is the only country in the world which spied and continues
to spy on the US, attacked a US ship in International waters,
and killed American citizens both in that attack and many others
with impunity. And still proclaimed as the only democracy of the
Middle East. Now what makes this unique? And why do all of this makes out of the Palestinians a super race?
Despite all
Israeli checkpoints, closures, curfews, patrols, fences: Palestinians
succeed in arriving to the heart of Israeli cities. Palestinians
continue to go to their work, taking any possible and impossible
mean and road, walk for hours if necessary, avoiding with great
talent every checkpoint and barrier. Despite all
the demolishing of houses, bombardments, random killings of populations,
continuous daily harassments: Palestinians still live on their
lands, on the ruins of their houses, start building anew. They
don’t run away anymore. They don’t beg for help anymore.
They work and continue working as if nothing happened. Despite all
the stress and pressure, absence of entertainment places (if we
forget the permanent comedy shows played by Israeli army tanks,
the bulldozers Orchestra, and Apache Band), and impossibilities
to take vacations (except to Israeli prisons): They are more active
than ever, full of energy more than before, more creative than
ever before. Despite every
inhuman condition they are forced to live, despite every inhuman
behavior of the whole world governments, particularly US government
and Arab Governments: They are still humans, and behave as humans
(of superior race of course) and receive internationals and visitors
who come to visit with great generosity and warm smiles. Despite the
feeling of being abandoned by all, despite the international hypocrisy
and coward silence and ignorant stereotyping, and media dictatorships,
they still believe in a brighter future, and teach their children
still to smile, to love, to paint beautiful paintings, and to
play theatre, and to write poems, and to go to schools and continue
their education, and prepare themselves to be the leaders of the
new world. This would be their prize of excellence…. To keep this
character of superiority, Palestinians should reclaim their dues
to all those who caused their alienisms: Europe, mainly
France and United kingdom for the crimes they committed in the
middle east and the suffering they caused to Palestinian population
by Balfour declaration, and allowing the Zionist terrorist movements
to commit all their crimes and massacres in the name of the Jewish
people. United Nations
and Security Council for its impuissance vis-à-vis of Israel,
and its super power against others. United States
of America for their unconditional support for the Israeli terrorist
actions and the Israeli war criminals and all the dictators of
the world. The democratic
State of Israel for what the Palestinians have passed through,
because of Israelis continuous exploitation of land, people and
humans all over the world, for the continuous suffering of Palestinians
in every single country and on every occasion. One day you will all pay for this silence, for this hypocrisy, for this continuous injustice. One day, you will wake up, hopefully before it is too late, and the terrorists you created will explode in your faces, but then don’t you dare and say: We didn’t know.
You know… You know… Every single part of your body knows. Every nerve cell, every heart palpitation, every eye glance, every hand touch, every tongue movement, every mouth speak, every transpiration and expiration, every walk… Every one… Every thing… all know…
Does this seem like a threat? May be… but I didn’t mean it that way. It is just what logic suggests, and what Israel has practiced since the creation of the Zionist movement against all the world…
My the democracy of Israel camp on this sleeping and silent world… So that everybody share it with us…. I told you that Palestinians are generous. We don’t want that for us alone…
